Here are a few of the differences that it has from a PC:
1. Extremely fast processor. It takes me litterally 30 seconds to copy a song onto my Mac and about 5 to copy a whole CD. With our house PC it took about an hour or more to copy a whole CD. This computer is fast and furious! It also takes no time at all to move from web-page to web-page. Our old PC would frequently freeze between pages and need a complete reboot.
2. The Mac is VERY user friendly! You can take it right out of the box and start using it with little to no help figuring it out. I'm still having a little bit of trouble figuring out Garage Band though. That's understandable. And if you ever do need help there is always a Help button on the top bar that helps with anything.
3. HD screens are way better than regular PC screens. The picture is so colorful and sharp. It is PERFECT for watching movies on.
4. EVERYTHING is lit up on the Mac. I especially love how the keys are lit up. No more having to type in the dark, thus eliminating typo's.
5. The sound quality on my Mac is outstanding for it having built in speakers. Most PC speakers can sound muffly when cranking music out of them. These speakers sound crystal clear.
These are some of the differences that i have noticed SO FAR. I have had it less then 24 hours so far. There will be more to come after i start getting more used to it.
